What is ABA?
Understanding the science behind meaningful growth
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach to supporting meaningful change in behavior, communication, and learning. At its heart, ABA is about understanding how behavior works — and using that understanding to help children build new skills and lead more independent, joyful lives.
We use ABA to support children in the environments where they feel most comfortable: at home, in daycare, at school, or in the community. We focus on skills that truly matter — like asking for help, playing with others, communicating needs, following routines, or getting dressed. These aren’t just checkboxes — they’re building blocks for confidence, independence, and connection.

How ABA Works?
ABA starts with understanding. We take the time to learn about your child — their strengths, their challenges, and what’s meaningful to your family. From there, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) create an individualized treatment plan designed to support your child’s growth.
Therapy is delivered by trained behavior technicians who work 1:1 with your child using positive reinforcement, play-based teaching, and strategies matched to your child’s learning style. We use data to track progress and continuously adjust our approach to make sure it’s working.
ABA Is a Team Effort
Your voice matters. We partner with you every step of the way — sharing updates, offering hands-on parent training, and listening to your insights. When caregivers are involved, children make more meaningful progress.
ABA is also about teaching your child to advocate for themselves. That’s why we focus on assent-based practices — making sure children are willing and engaged participants in their care.
What ABA Can Help With?
While ABA therapy can support a wide range of skills, here are some of the areas we often focus on:
-
Communication and language
-
Social interactions and play
-
Daily living skills like brushing teeth, getting dressed, or potty training
-
Following directions and routines
-
Reducing challenging behaviors by teaching safer, more effective alternatives
